  • Perform HVAC control systems programming, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and preventative maintenance as it is related to mechanical, electrical, and low voltage controls components.
  • Troubleshoot existing HVAC control systems using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools as well as a variety of hand tools including electrical testing meters and other electronic testing equipment.
  • Provide front-line technical and repair support through effective communication with Johnson Controls customers.
  • Provide system repair and update recommendations and assist in proposing recommendations to Johnson Controls’ customers.
  • Implement new programming developed for field level controllers.
  • Upgrade firmware, troubleshoot and replace Network Automation Engines.
  • Load Johnson Controls field and network-level controller software.
  • Perform commissioning and system diagnostics for all levels of system controllers as well as end devices (i.e., Sensors, actuators, etc.) and complete all required commissioning documentation.
  • Update MUI graphical interfaces as system changes are implemented in the field.
  • Assist customer with ongoing ATO for Metasys and EMCS.
  • Keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.
  • Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.
  • Complete administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
  • Manage Metasys ADX alarms, coordinate with customers for items needing attention.
  • Execute company-sponsored as well as personally initiated training to ensure the highest level of knowledge and capability is maintained.
  • Engage with customers to fully understand their systems and needs.
  • Communicate with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
  • Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training.
  • +10 years of experience in a technical field, including a minimum of three years specializing in Building Automation Systems (BAS) or a combination of Vocational School four-year program graduate and hands-on experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
  • Effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
  • Capable of comprehending and proficient in working with electrical schematics and single-line diagrams.
  • Ability to produce quotations following successful troubleshooting, coupled with the skill to generate revenue for the branch through labor and materials contributions.
  • Possesses the ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
  • Demonstrate effective writing skills as well as understanding of programs and software applications.
  • Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems.
