About The Position

Johnson Controls, a leading provider of HVAC and building automation solutions, is seeking a skilled and experienced Operations and Maintenance Specialist to join their team. The company is dedicated to creating purposeful solutions and fostering a diverse team. This opportunity is at a newly constructed electric vehicle battery manufacturing plant, involving a 12-year O&M contract for providing hard services of MEP equipment, excluding manufacturing and production equipment. The objective is to maintain a seamless environment by ensuring equipment performs to specifications for uninterrupted manufacturing and administrative functions. The role is for a skilled specialist with commercial, industrial, and/or institutional market experience, preferably with a minimum of five years of practical working experience in the HVAC plumbing, pipefitting, and/or mechanical equipment service industry. Requirements

Skilled craftsman in their trade
Minimum of five (5) years actual, practical working experience in the HVAC plumbing, pipefitting and/or mechanical equipment service industry
May be required to pass a satisfactory examination as to your special skill
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid HVAC Mechanical Journeymen license
Proven experience as an HVAC Mechanical Journeymen or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Flexibility to work on-call or during emergencies, as required

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in accordance with building codes and manufacturer specifications.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools.
Conduct performance tests and adjustments on HVAC systems to meet specified requirements.
Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and work performed.
Collaborate with other team members and contractors to ensure timely completion of projects.
Stay updated on industry advancements, regulations, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
Adhere to safety protocols and company policies and procedures at all times.
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client concerns and resolving issues professionally.
