About The Position

The HVAC Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the assembly of various HVAC equipment, including refrigeration piping, electrical conduits, and cabling. The Mechanical Assembler must be able to perform his/her responsibilities effectively with minimum supervision. The Mechanical Assembler's efforts actively support our mission of ensuring reliable, durable, and safe operations for our customers by furnishing the highest quality industrial HVAC systems. About DWD International Founded in 1974, DWD International designs, manufactures, installs, and maintains industrial HVAC, pressurization, filtration, and control systems that can withstand the most challenging environmental and operating conditions. DWD's specialty lies in creating HVAC and pressurization systems for some of the world's most hostile environments.

Requirements

  • 3 years minimum of HVAC experience routing and installing electrical conduits and circuits, routing and installing refrigerant piping and soldering, routing and installing instrument air piping
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • EPA Certification preferred
  • Must be able to operate forklift
  • Must be able to operate hand tools (e.g. screwdrivers, wire cutters, wire crimpers, and drills)
  • Must provide own tools - basic mechanic set
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English
  • Requires forward thinking, logical planning, and the ability to work productively in a team environment
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Able to meet all the below physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds of force routinely.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, grasp
  • Able to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, and scaffolding, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Install, move, and modify related equipment according to the job order specifications, standards, and procedures
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and/or product schematics
  • Communicate with Engineering and supervisors
  • Complete training/internship with a mentor - Lead Mechanic or Supervisor
  • Route and install electrical cabling
  • Route and install refrigerant piping, and solder per requirements
  • Route and install instrument air piping
  • Mount and align electric motors and bearings
  • Layout equipment on skids and install
  • Reassemble all types of equipment after coatings
  • Completes assigned tasks within the allotted hours with minimum to no rework
  • Active participant of the DWD Safety Program
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Operates forklift to transport supplies and equipment
  • And all other duties as assigned
