About The Position

Position: Mechanic Air Conditioning Department: Engineering Past Work Experience Requirements: Journeyman skill level to consist of accepted 4 year apprentice program with classroom time and 8000 worked hours or experience and technical skills equal to the apprenticeship from working in the trade for a number of years. Candidate’s skills to be representative of the attached basic skill list. Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Communication Skills/Customer Service: Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers Present a professional, positive and helpful attitude at all times when interacting with guests and co\-workers. Exhibits an understanding of Human Relations and functions as a “team player”. Observe additional maintenance needs requiring attention and report those to the supervisor Technical Requirements: Valid West Virginia’s Driver’s License EPA refrigerant certification Diagnosis, repair, operational checkout, start\-ups, preventive maintenance, equipment installation and cleaning. Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 70 pounds regularly Walking Standing Climbing ladders, scaffolding, stairs continuously Work Conditions: Hot Cold Dirty Wet Long hours Confined spaces Working in high places and on scaffolding Required Supervision: Ability to follow specific general instructions Independent decision making skills required Ability to work independently Other Requirements: Computer skills Time management skills Overtime required Basic Skills – see attached listing
