About The Position

The HVAC Mechanic shall have a minimum of five (5) years experience. This position requires travel to multiple sites throughout Northern Virginia. A company truck and gas card are included. The shift is Monday - Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm with overtime as required. Salary $39.00-$41.00 per hour.
Complete routine PM's (change filters, belts, clean coils, bearing lubrication, etc.)
Diagnose/repair (indoor/outdoor, motor replacements, component replacements, humidifiers, T-stats, fuses, contactors, relays, transformers etc.)
AHU's, RTU's, FCU's, WSHP's, Split Systems, CRAC units, VAV's, and other various types of mechanical HVAC equipment
Perform Refrigerant recovery and recycling
Operate Building Energy Management System (EMS) and associated building controls
Interface with building managers and other customer representatives in order to ensure client satisfaction
Accurately document work performed on trouble tickets or work orders
Place and/or remove systems, hardware and equipment as required
Purchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required for timely work completion
Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School degree or equivalent
• Must have clean driving record
• Minimum 5 years experience working on commercial HVAC systems
• Completed coursework in HVAC areas
• Must have working knowledge of 480V and below electrical systems, HVAC and plumbing system
• Must demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in building operations
• Must be able to pass background check
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor
• Must be detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced work environment

Nice To Haves

• VA HVAC journeyman license preferred
• Universal CFC Certification preferred

Responsibilities
