About The Position

Unleash your potential and make an impact! This position is one of several HVAC Mechanics serving in the Maintenance Shop within CFMO’s Facility Management Branch. The employee in this position is responsible for heating, ventilating, and air conditioning maintenance tasks in support of Army National Guard facilities in the eastern region of North Carolina, roughly half of our overall building inventory. Location: Greensboro/Guilford This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits, including paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays, retirement, and health insurance. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range: $43,267.00 - $75,718.00 DPS uses the Merit-Based Recruitment and Selection Plan to fill positions subject to the State Human Resources Act with the most qualified individuals. The Minimum Education and Experience (E&E) is REQUIRED to qualify for this position. Management Preferences, including Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs), are not required but may be used to determine the pool of most qualified applicants. Requirements

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of progressive experience in the installation, maintenance or repair of air conditioning chillers, air handling, chilled water distribution and control systems including one year at the journey level; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations part 82, subpart F.
