About The Position

To maintain and service air handlers, centrifugal chillers, air cooled chillers, refrigerators, window units, attic fans, roof fans, heat pumps, ice machines, VAV boxes, duct work, refrigeration piping and all controls concerning HVAC/refrigeration. To maintain comfortable conditioned spaces for all patients, visitors and staff.

Requirements

  • High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of progressive experience in the installation, maintenance or repair of air conditioning chillers, air handling, chilled water distribution and control systems including one year at the journey level; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations part 82, subpart F.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to do necessary work as required by work orders which are assigned by supervisor or emergency work orders.
  • Ability to assess and perform work orders in order of importance.
  • Ability to perform other job assignments, such as installing window A/C units, refrigerator repairs, and keeping food service equipment associated with refrigeration in working order.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to climb, push, pull, stand, talk, hear, walk, reach, grasp, kneel, feel, balance, stoop, lift, finger, crawl, crouching, walk up and down stairs, repetitive motions & cat walks.
  • This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.
