About The Position

The Hospital HVAC Mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems within the hospital. This role ensures that all HVAC systems function efficiently to provide a comfortable and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The HVAC Mechanic must possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly. This position is critical to maintaining the hospital's climate control and air quality standards.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair, preferably in a commercial or institutional setting.
• 5+ years' experience in HVAC systems, preferably in the healthcare setting preferred.
• Arkansas class A, B, or C HVACR certification preferred.
• Experience with HVAC systems designed for healthcare environments.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for hospital HVAC systems.
• Proficiency in installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of HVAC systems.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of electrical systems integrated with HVAC controls.
• Understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
