About The Position

The Mechanic & Installer II position at Bowhead in Dahlgren, VA, is responsible for the general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings, specifically focusing on HVAC systems. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Operations and Maintenance services supporting a military base or civilian installation.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Minimum of one (1) year of successful related experience in a military or civilian workforce preferred.
• Emergency Management/Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in commercial HVAC systems installation and maintenance.
• Experience working in a military or civilian workforce.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, operation, maintenance, overhaul, and repair of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating systems, including Direct Digital Control (DDC) HVAC systems under 5 tons.
• Install new duct/ventilation systems and insulation, and repair and modify existing duct/ventilation systems.
• Provide estimates on HVAC material costs and project completion times.
