About The Position

Aramark is hiring an experienced HVAC Maintenance Worker to support facilities operations at Olin College of Engineering. This position is responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC and refrigeration systems across a higher-education campus environment. This role is ideal for a Massachusetts-licensed HVAC professional who enjoys a stable daytime schedule, works well independently, and is comfortable handling a broad range of HVAC preventive maintenance and repair tasks in an institutional setting.

Requirements

  • Valid Massachusetts HVAC License – Required
  • Demonstrated experience performing general HVAC maintenance and repairs
  • Ability to independently complete preventive maintenance tasks
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration principles
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow safety procedures due to physical and environmental risks

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with BAS systems preferred; ability to read and interpret BAS data is a plus (not required)

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, test, operate, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance on systems including: Air Handling Units (AHUs) Split systems Variable Air Volume (VAV) boxes Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs) Liebert / precision cooling systems
  • Replace and service Belimo valves and actuators
  • Inspect, clean, service, and replace filters in HVAC equipment; document completed work
  • Calibrate, repair, and maintain pneumatic control systems and related components
  • Clean and maintain ductwork, grills, shaftways, and exhaust systems
  • Respond to emergency HVAC service needs as required
  • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and maintain accurate service records
  • Coordinate work with electrical, plumbing, and other skilled trades
  • Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and materials needed for operations
  • Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach with faculty, staff, and coworkers
  • Follow all Aramark safety policies, OSHA standards, and applicable codes
