Requirements

  • 6+ Years Relevant Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and/or installing manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Previous work experience using trade skills such as electrical, mechanical, electronics, HVAC, plumbing, and/or welding preferred.
  • Electrical, mechanical, quality and safety background.
  • Manufacturing facility experience preferable.
  • Works under limited supervision.
  • Must be able to read, interpret, and communicate company policies and procedures to others.
  • Ability to interact effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and service providers.
  • Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
  • Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgement in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
  • Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
  • Typically expects 3+ years of related experience.
  • Vocational/technical education and/or relevant certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

  • HVAC Technician will be responsible for performing service, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure proper working order.
  • Advanced maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC, plant air systems, and facility equipment.
  • Trouble shoots equipment malfunctions and takes corrective action.
  • Company liaison with equipment suppliers.
  • Establishes preventative maintenance schedules as per equipment manufacturers specifications and systems to include periodic inspections.
  • Maintains database regarding work orders and equipment repair requests.
  • Recommend changes and enhancements to procedures, and equipment to result in more efficient operations.
  • Report any problems, defective materials, questionable conditions or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
