Weekend Night: Friday - Sunday, 6:00pm - 6:30am Duties and Responsibilities: HVAC Technician will be responsible for performing service, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure proper working order. Advanced maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC, plant air systems, and facility equipment. Trouble shoots equipment malfunctions and takes corrective action. Company liaison with equipment suppliers. Establishes preventative maintenance schedules as per equipment manufacturers specifications and systems to include periodic inspections. Maintains database regarding work orders and equipment repair requests. Recommend changes and enhancements to procedures, and equipment to result in more efficient operations. Report any problems, defective materials, questionable conditions or unsafe conditions to supervisor. Requirements
- 6+ Years Relevant Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and/or installing manufacturing equipment preferred
- Previous work experience using trade skills such as electrical, mechanical, electronics, HVAC, plumbing, and/or welding preferred
- Electrical, mechanical, quality and safety background
- Manufacturing facility experience preferable
- Works under limited supervision
- Must be able to read, interpret, and communicate company policies and procedures to others
- Ability to interact effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and service providers
- Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
- Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgement in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
- Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
- Typically expects 3+ years of related experience.
- Vocational/technical education and/or relevant certifications may be required.
