About The Position

Perform preventative maintenance on all HVAC equipment and components to manufactures recommendation (valves, motors, belts, bearings, filters and lubrication etc.) Learn basics of equipment management controls (Metasys, Siemens, TAC) to be able to start and stop equipment properly during preventive maintenance. Identify and repair any potential problems found on HVAC equipment during preventive maintenance and notify supervisor of any discrepancies. Requisitions and maintains stock of replacement parts used in repair of facilities equipment. Ability to read and interpret work orders. Assist HVAC mechanics in the performance of routine maintenance and repairs to systems. Perform other duties as required or assigned by supervisor or management. Responsibilities Requires working both indoors and outdoors in addition to working inside an office. Dirt, dust, grease and oils are always present. There can be exposure to chemicals that may burn and irritate the skin and eyes if proper personal protective equipment is not worn. Failure to follow appropriate safety procedures, there could result in cuts, bruises, shocks, and strains. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, US Airforce regulations and company work rules. Position is classified as mission essential and requires employee to shelter at work location and to respond to disasters or other contingency operations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Valid US Driver’s License
  • Two years of verifiable related HVAC maintenance / troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to pass a National Agency background check
  • Must have EPA Universal (Type I, II and III) CFC/HCFC Refrigerant Processing Certification
