Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of residential HVAC installation experience, with 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role
• Deep knowledge of HVAC systems, low voltage wiring, and airflow principles
• Type II or Universal EPA certification required
• Proven ability to lead a crew and complete jobs efficiently and professionally
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in confined spaces like attics and crawl spaces
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Lead Installation Projects – Take ownership of residential HVAC system installations (central AC, furnaces, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits), ensuring work meets quality, safety, and code standards
• Mentorship & Team Leadership – Supervise and guide HVAC installers and apprentices, ensuring productivity and skill development
• System Startup & Testing – Perform and oversee startup and commissioning of HVAC systems to ensure proper function and customer satisfaction
• Customer Interaction – Act as the primary on-site contact for homeowners; communicate timelines, answer questions, and provide education on system operation
• Low Voltage Wiring & Troubleshooting – Lead the setup, connection, and testing of low voltage controls and thermostats
• Job Documentation & Reporting – Complete and verify all job-related paperwork, including installation records and material usage
• Worksite Management – Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and safe from start to finish
• Safety & Compliance – Enforce compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local code regulations
• Logistics & Equipment Handling – Coordinate and participate in loading, unloading, and transporting equipment to job sites
