Requirements

  • Candidates without a degree are encouraged to apply; we prioritize practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with our leadership principles
  • Associate's Degree in HVAC (or related technical discipline) and at least 3-years of relevant HVAC work experience is required; OR at least 6-years of relevant HVAC work experience is required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
  • EPA Type Universal Certification or willingness to become certified

Responsibilities

  • Work safely and maintain a safe work area in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Support product development activities by operating commercial HVAC equipment, controlling test facilities, and collecting experimental test data, with modest guidance from senior laboratory staff
  • Lead or assist with installation, modification, and build of developmental commercial HVAC equipment and components, following engineering, agency, and test requirements
  • Work with Test Engineering and other technicians to install and utilize laboratory test equipment including data acquisition systems, power analyzers, flow equipment, pressure, and temperature measurement devices
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and components related to the Trane Technologies family of products
