As an HVAC Apprentice, you will assist experienced technicians with installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for a company that handles service work and site maintenance for national accounts. You will assist in servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong willingness to learn and a positive attitude, as well as flexibility to work overtime/weekends as necessary, and regular travel requirements with some overnight travel, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced technicians with installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems.
• Service products and equipment on assigned projects to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Use a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
• Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer's location.
• Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
• Prepare for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work.
• Inspect vehicles by checking vehicle condition and cleanliness.
• Maintain vehicles by keeping records of service, scheduling, and completing repairs and maintenance service.
• Maintain equipment by inspecting for signs of wear and notifying customer and/or Operations Manager of findings.
• Document work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
• Represent the company by serving as a direct customer contact.
• Determine parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
• Record parts, material, labor, subs, and other cost data per assignment and return unused resources.
• Turn in all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
• Keep current on all products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
• Read and interpret product specifications.
• Provide technical support to customers.
