As an HVAC Apprentice you will assist experienced technicians with installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for a company that handles service work and site maintenance for national accounts. You will assist in the servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will use a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units. You will identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer's location. Additionally, you will perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers. You will prepare for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary. You will also inspect and maintain vehicles and equipment, document work, and represent the company by serving as a direct customer contact.

Requirements

• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as necessary.
• Regular travel requirements with some overnight travel, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced technicians with installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems.
• Service products and equipment on assigned projects ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Use hand-tools to diagnose and repair units following blueprints or engineering specifications.
• Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer's location.
• Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
• Prepare for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout and gathering materials.
• Inspect vehicles by checking condition and cleanliness.
• Maintain vehicles by keeping records of service and scheduling repairs.
• Maintain equipment by inspecting for signs of wear and notifying the customer or Operations Manager of findings.
• Document work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
• Determine parts to order for repairs and document work including daily time, progress, and duration.
• Keep current on all products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
• Provide technical support to customers.
