About The Position

As a Journeyman HVAC Installer in the commercial/industrial construction group, you will participate in all aspects of the installation process. Job functions and duties include following blueprints or engineering specifications to mount and assemble units, installing and directing the installation of ductwork and HVAC equipment, managing laborers and apprentices, ordering materials, coordinating job meetings, and training and mentoring apprentices. You must show competency in vendor relations, managing a purchase order log, and understanding foreman duties as it pertains to labor and cost management of a job.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 4+ years HVAC install experience (industrial/commercial preferred).
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Valid driver's license.
