About The Position

The HVAC Installer Helper provides assistance to install heating, air conditioning and ventilation equipment, as well as other products in accordance with company requirements and manufacturer specifications for our Residential New Construction or Retail Teams. Essential Duties/Responsibilities*: Works under supervision to install heating, air conditioning, ventilation equipment, as well as other products in accordance with company requirements and manufacture specifications. May test systems to ensure proper functioning. Identifies issues and follows-up with required repair to ensure all relevant components are working correctly to ensure compliance. Completes all paperwork in a neat, accurate, thorough and timely manner. May performs start-up on air conditioning systems as needed. Fabricates and installs various ducts and duct fittings as required. Follows safety policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. * Duties may vary by location.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience may be substituted for education.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the HVAC trade.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Beginner computing skills and able to use a computer, laptop or tablet.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work overtime with little notice; weekend hours may occasionally be required.

Nice To Haves

• HVAC trade school certification.
• Prior HVAC installation experience.
• EPA Certification.
