About The Position

Newcomb and Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc. We are a full-service mechanical contractor providing customers in the commercial, residential, and industrial sectors with innovative, energy efficient heating and air conditioning services, automation and controls, industrial piping, new-construction design and installation, and maintenance and replacement services. The position involves the installation of Residential and Light Commercial Type HVAC duct systems and equipment, including packaged units, split system equipment, central station air handlers, exhaust fans, and various types of air distribution systems. The role requires maintaining excellent communication with customers and supervising field personnel on larger jobs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC installation.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather and temperature extremes.
  • Physical fitness to lift and move equipment and materials.
  • Familiarity with safe operation of tools and equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • EPA refrigerant certificate.
  • Experience with residential and light commercial HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

  • Possess a valid driver's license certificate and meet all required physical ability, efforts and exertions to perform the required job duties.
  • Review thoroughly all job packages and communicate/coordinate information to assigned field personnel.
  • Perform installation services for residential and light commercial installations.
  • Maintain a quality of workmanship and installation standards as set by the company.
  • Work in outdoor weather and temperature extremes as designated by company policy.
  • Maintain daily communication with all assigned field personnel and project managers.
  • Coordinate material orders and deliveries with warehouse manager and project managers.
  • Prepare all paperwork pertinent to the installation project.
  • Work in a safe manner and abide by the company's safety policies.
  • Possess or secure an EPA refrigerant certificate within company guidelines.
  • Responsible for the startup of equipment installed, confirming wiring, refrigerant charging, and safety procedures.
  • Complete timesheets on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Maintain all assigned tools and vehicles in top condition.
  • Monitor all assigned job sites to ensure a safe workplace.
  • Report any safety violations to the safety supervisor.
  • Follow directions given by the Residential Installation Supervisor.
