Westland Distributing is currently looking for an HVAC Helper to join our team in our Phoenix, AZ location. In this role, you will assist with the installation and service of HVAC systems and related equipment, ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally, and in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • EPA 608 Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify HVAC equipment
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work overtime and on-call as needed
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation and servicing of HVAC systems and related equipment
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable codes/regulations
  • Pre-measure jobs to determine materials needed for each project
  • Load, verify, and maintain equipment and materials on service vehicles
  • Perform basic appliance installations as needed
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and timely
  • Take readings using test instruments and understand their importance
  • Communicate job status and any delays with dispatcher or supervisor
  • Maintain company vehicle and report maintenance needs
  • Provide professional, respectful service to all customers
  • Support team members and perform additional duties as assigned
