About The Position
The purpose of the HVAC & general mechanic includes the maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems and assisting the Director of the Physical Plant in the day-to-day operation of the physical plant. The HVAC & general mechanic must safely and effectively operate mechanical and electrical equipment; effectively manage time; and maintain a good working relationship with others. Must understand and follow oral and written instructions; read, write, and understand departmental rules and regulations; be honest, cooperative and reliable and work independently as part of a team to accomplish work assignments. The HVAC & general mechanic works under the supervision of the Director of the Physical Plant.
