About The Position

As a HVAC Foreman, you provide oversight and direction for the field personnel. You ensure that materials are at the job site prior to scheduling the labor needed to complete the work. Applying your industry knowledge, you are able to evaluate the quality of work at each phase of construction. You assist with complex project installation challenges. As the liaison to offsite management, you report to and make recommendations to the project manager based on your observations. Passionate about quality and safety, you confirm that proper procedures are being followed by all staff. You direct the subcontractors and field personnel, providing informal job site training and guidance in the plumbing methods that you are knowledgeable about. Under your excellent leadership, the field personnel are inspired to take great pride in their work. And, you get great satisfaction out of helping to ensure each project’s profitability while meeting deadlines for completion!

Requirements

  • 5 years of HVAC new construction experience with 2 years of leadership experience required.
  • Plans and lays out work from oral and written instructions; assigns and supervises the work of HVAC personnel engaged in the installation and repair of HVAC system.
  • Ensure all equipment and materials are on the site for installs
  • Manage labor, Sobieski employees as well as Subcontractors
  • Conducts regular inspections of work in progress and on completion; participates in the more complex HVAC tasks.
  • Confers with officials on proposed HVAC projects and makes recommendations.
  • Recruits and trains skilled and trades helper personnel.
  • Establishes safety and work performance standards for subordinates.
  • Performs related work as required.
