About The Position

The HVAC Estimator position involves working with a Mechanical Contractor to provide accurate estimates and proposals for HVAC projects, focusing on ventilation and duct work. Requirements

• 5 years of experience as an Estimator for a Mechanical Contractor
• Four year degree in Construction Management, Business Management, Engineering or up to four years of directly related experience

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely estimates and submission of proposals with an emphasis on cost, schedule, and scope of work accuracy
• Understand and manage safety requirements, local building codes, and tax information for each project per location
• Manage site walk-throughs and document items observed and discussed with the client or key specialty contractors up to point of bid submission
• Help build mutually rewarding relationships with potential clients, subcontractors, and vendors
• Update and modify estimating database with cost data as required
