About The Position

The position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and proper operation of hospital refrigeration, air conditioning, evaporative cooling, mechanical ventilating, and ice-making equipment. This includes control work and computer design of air conditioning systems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Five years in-depth experience of BMS controls.
• South Carolina Journeyman heating and A/C certification or equivalent
• Certificate of training in air conditioning.

Nice To Haves

• Associates degree in HVAC

Responsibilities

• Make decisions clearly and quickly.
• Withstand many hours of standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting, and moving equipment.
• Demonstrate manual dexterity and good eye-to-hand coordination with adequate vision.
• Understand, read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Work as a team member with peers and other departments.
• Cope with agitated, hostile customers and respond calmly.
• Perform analytical diagnosis on malfunctioning equipment.
• Perform mechanical repair in a workmanship manner using correct tools and procedures.
• Perform planned maintenance on all mechanical equipment.
