Requirements

• Deep understanding of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, especially chilled water systems.
• Proficiency in chiller diagnostics and repair.
• Ability to read schematics and diagnose electrical faults.
• Strong grasp of thermodynamics, refrigerant cycles, and compressor operations.
• Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS), PLCs, and digital control systems.
• EPA Certification for handling refrigerants.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and commitment to safe work practices.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with mission-critical environments and uptime requirements.
• Training from manufacturers like Trane, York, Carrier, or Daikin.
• Ability to lead service projects or mentor junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain centrifugal, screw, scroll, and absorption chillers.
• Diagnose electrical faults and repair mechanical components.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with service teams, engineers, and facility managers.

Benefits

• Pay range: $34.43 - $40.51 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet.
