About The Position

AirMasters HVAC Services was founded in 1989 as a trusted family-owned company specializing in Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Automatic Building Control System, and Energy Efficiency retrofits. In 2023, The RISE Group Inc., an employee-owned provider of energy, engineering, laboratory, and field services, acquires AirMasters HVAC Services as part of its strategic plan to expand mechanical/HVAC contracting services in the region. As a HVAC Controls Technician, you are knowledgeable about the installation and repairs of all types of commercial HVAC systems. You understand how to Service, maintain, and repair HVAC systems. You can also troubleshoot HVAC malfunctions and determine the extent of necessary repairs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in HVAC technology, troubleshooting, system controls and repairs
  • Experience reading and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Knowledge of safety practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Building Automation System and Chiller repair/cooling towers and troubleshooting experience preferred
  • EPA Universal refrigerant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install, program, maintain, and troubleshoot automatic temperature control systems.
  • Perform project startup, checkout, and troubleshooting for installed systems and service jobs.
  • Make necessary adjustments and calibrations.
  • Create commissioning reports for projects.
  • Respond to customer service calls, diagnosing and repairing control systems.
  • Provide technical support for end-users and mechanical field technicians.
  • Perform system upgrades and controller cutovers
  • Perform wiring checkout and assists in systems start-ups
  • Perform programming sequence checkout
  • Work independently
  • Assist in the training of other technicians
  • Interpret HVAC and electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to ensure proper installation and service.
  • Work in a professional manner in both occupied finish spaces and construction sites.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards during all installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
