HVAC Controls / Refrigerant Pipe Installer

The company is seeking a full-time HVAC Controls / Refrigerant Pipe Installer to support commercial HVAC projects. This role is for a hands-on HVAC mechanic experienced in installing equipment, running refrigerant piping, installing controls, and assisting with system startups. The position involves working closely with project teams in the field to deliver high-quality installations that meet engineering and safety standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial HVAC installation experience
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, control drawings, and written instructions
- Strong understanding of refrigerant piping practices and accessories
- Experience installing HVAC equipment and basic control components
- Proven troubleshooting skills for common HVAC systems
- Ability to work 40 hours per week with overtime as needed
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Ability to accurately read a ruler or tape measure
- Must own and maintain required hand tools and power tools
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driver qualification policies
Responsibilities
- Install commercial HVAC equipment including split systems, DX units, package units, ductless mini-splits, and other common commercial systems
- Install refrigerant piping and accessories in accordance with engineer schematics and equipment schedules
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and installation instructions
- Install basic HVAC controls such as thermostats, humidistats, CO₂ sensors, relays, and motorized dampers
- Interpret control schematics and assist with basic controls installation and startup
- Perform startup support and assist with troubleshooting common HVAC equipment issues
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, team members, and other trades
- Travel to job sites as required, including occasional overnight stays
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
