Department of Public Safety Standards and Training HVAC Control Technician (Facility Energy Technician 3) This recruitment is for one (1), regular, full-time position located in Salem, OR (4190 Aumsville Hwy SE) and is represented by Oregon Public Safety Association. What you will be doing: As an HVAC Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing the agency’s energy infrastructure, with a specialized emphasis on HVAC/R systems, boiler operations, and refrigeration technologies. Leveraging your expert-level technical skills, you’ll work independently to troubleshoot, repair, and fine-tune complex systems, including high-pressure boilers, steam distribution networks, and advanced building automation controls. Your responsibilities will also include designing, installing, and upgrading HVAC systems to meet evolving environmental standards and energy efficiency goals. You’ll manage both pneumatic and digital control systems, ensuring seamless integration and performance across facilities.
