HVAC Commercial Project Manager
About The Position
Position Summary: Oversee day to day operations of commercial projects. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within scope by managing labor, scheduling, and material requisition. WAGE: Depends on Experience Essential functions and responsibilities: Order materials and equipment needed for each project Compile submittal and plan package for foreman Make visits to site throughout project to ensure smooth execution Schedule labor and adjust as needed throughout project Oversee 15-20 projects simultaneously an a continuous basis Assist in the handling of disciplinary action, coaching, and performance reviews Schedule start-up and controls, test and balance. Ensure everything is working properly prior to project close Complete close-out documentation Assist in handling personnel issues within department Interview, select, and set up training for new employees within commercial department Monitor job-site safety, communicate with safety committee as needed
Requirements
- Valid driver license and clean driving record, insurable by company insurance
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in strategic planning and risk management
- Ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
- Basic knowledge of job related safety requirements and procedures
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, purchase orders and contracts
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Minimum High School diploma, GED or equivalent
- 10+ years related construction experience
- Minimum 5 years previous HVAC experience
- Ability to read blue prints
- Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills

- Previous supervisory experience preferred
