About The Position

ALSM is actively seeking candidates for a full time HVAC Certified Maintenance Worker III to provide heating and HVAC system support to our broad spectrum of services. This position will maintain and repair Heating and HVAC systems in accordance with regulatory code and compliance; configure layout/design and install low voltage wiring; provide excellent customer service to our staff and residents; and respond to after-hour calls during evenings and weekends as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • EPA Certification, HVAC Certification or a diploma in a technical-related field.
  • A current, clean driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
  • The ability to push, pull, lift or move a minimum of 50lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Follow maintenance and new unit installation schedules as outlined for respective equipment buildings and ALSM properties assigned.
  • Perform routine scheduled maintenance and repair at all ALSM locations.
  • Service heating and cooling units/systems and generators, etc., as specified by the manufacturer.
  • Locating and diagnosing maintenance problems on equipment, conducting warranty services, and quickly performing emergency repairs on certain equipment items.
  • Communicating with clients and customers with kindness, dignity, and respect and maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Meeting local HVAC codes.
  • Removing and disposing of old HVAC equipment so new systems can be installed.
  • Running pipe and duct systems.
  • Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams such as technical drawings or blueprints.
  • Understanding refrigeration cycles.
  • Interpret various technical data, such as pressure and temperature.
  • Perform administrative duties such as ordering equipment, competing necessary forms, reports, etc.
  • Perform assigned tasks in accordance with established transportation procedures.
  • Maintain vehicles and general work area in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean and orderly environment.
  • Ensure that work/assignments areas are clean and equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored before leaving such areas on breaks, at end of workday, etc.
  • Perform administrative duties such as competing necessary forms, reports, etc.
  • Perform assigned tasks in accordance with established transportation procedures
  • Replenish maintenance supplies in work areas as necessary and keep supervisor informed of supply needs.
