Position Overview We are seeking a skilled HVAC Certified Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance operations at our Oklahoma City communities. This role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strong customer service mindset. The Lead Maintenance Technician works closely with the Property Manager to ensure the property is safe, well-maintained, and operating at the highest standard.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Lead Maintenance Technician at a multifamily property
  • HVAC Certified & EPA License (required)
  • Strong plumbing expertise; intermediate electrical and carpentry skills (no license required)
  • Experience working with rooftop AC units
  • Proven leadership experience overseeing maintenance staff, ticket runners, and vendors
  • Proficient in English (written and verbal)
  • Proven experience completing 10–12 work orders daily (based on complexity)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all service requests and work orders are completed accurately and within required timeframes
  • Preventative maintenance of HVAC equipment onsite
  • Diagnose and repair major appliances, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems
  • Inventory control and parts/supplies management
  • Overseeing maintenance staff and motivating team performance
  • Preventive maintenance scheduling and execution
  • Budget adherence and cost-control measures
  • Hazard communication and safety compliance
  • Maintain superior customer service by responding promptly and professionally to resident needs
  • Inspect grounds, buildings, and community features to minimize liability and safety risks
  • Support make-ready/turnkey operations and ensure strong curb appeal at all times
  • Participate in ongoing technical training to stay current with industry standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager or leadership
  • Diagnose and fix issues with central boilers at the Property
  • On-call availability for emergency maintenance is required
