About The Position

HVAC Certified/Helper with 1 Stone Solutions Full Time : Monday - Friday (7AM-4PM) 40 Hours a week Hourly Rate: $25 - $30 BASED ON CERTIFICATION Location: Haltom City, TX Requirements: Certified Technicians License is required. Experience with public schools districts or colleges/universities preferred. High School Diploma or GED required. Driver License required. EPA refrigerant license is required. Completion of trade school is preferred. 3 plus years of applicable trade experience is preferred. You must be 18 years old. A pre-employment drug screen and criminal background/fingerprint check are required. Must be authorized to work in the U.S Able to lift up to 30lbs. Job Duties: Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Maintain the HVAC systems and associated electrical components which includes diagnosing and repairing problems, supervising subordinate personnel, completing and maintaining appropriate records. Diagnose cause of malfunction to HVAC systems and repairs or replaces failed components Perform service maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems Perform refrigerant recover as required Troubleshoot direct digital controls and assists head custodians with system operation when necessary Maintain records, completes work orders and other reports according to established procedure Utilize work order system to communicate and provide customer service. Commute between campuses and when necessary, travels to parts distributors for needed repair components Updated May 16, 2023 Oversee 1-2 helpers if needed for small projects, preventative maintenance or major service repairs. On-call rotation Perform related duties as required and works on special projects General Job Duties and Responsibilities Assist with troubleshooting, repair and installation of energy management systems. Assist with troubleshooting, repair and installation of fire alarm systems. May collaborate with department staff, principals, upper-level administrators, outside consultants, vendors and contractors in the daily execution of duties. Assesses condition of district's facilities and building systems and provides written communication for use with work orders, budgeting and long-range planning. Coordinates building systems and maintenance work with other departmental functions to ensure quality customer service in the district. Uses department’s work order system to manage productivity and efficiency of facility repairs and daily operations. Tracks work orders and insures that the work is completed in a timely manner. Reviews work orders completed for results, time and materials. Verifies completion and quality of work. Assists in selecting, testing and ordering in house supplies, equipment and materials. Insures products are safe to use and a proper inventory is maintained. Ability to diagnose malfunctions with HVAC systems, repair and replace failed components, perform service on all types of systems, figure material cost and time. Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations. Ability to use refrigerant gauges, vacuum pump, volte meter, amprobe, volt tester, refrigerant recovery unit and oxygen/acetylene torches. Ability to observe safety rules. Ability to work effectively and safely in all kinds of weather.
