What you will do Under general direction, you will lead Branch HVAC Installation operations—spanning Controls, Equipment, and Mechanical delivery teams—to ensure safe, timely, and high‑quality execution across the portfolio. Own branch installation delivery: assign projects, align the right engineering/commissioning/mechanical resources, and oversee performance to plan Drive operational and financial outcomes: forecast, manage billings/collections, reduce project/equipment slippage, and grow backlog/margins Ensure compliance and ethics: uphold all state/local/federal requirements and operate with the highest standards of integrity and safety Build strong relationships: develop and maintain contractor, customer, consultant, and subcontractor partnerships in the local market Elevate team capability: recruit, develop, and manage performance; set clear goals; advance succession planning and career growth Champion standards: ensure estimating and engineering best practices are utilized; follow up on customer satisfaction issues to resolution Partner with leadership: assist the Senior Installation Manager in annual strategic and financial operating plans for the branch How you will do it You will set a high‑accountability cadence and create a culture that delivers safety, quality, cash flow, and customer satisfaction: Manage execution to branch goals with a rigorous operating rhythm and KPI visibility Lead asset management and cost control across projects, payables, and productivity improvements Embed Zero Harm safety culture and ensure teams and subcontractors adhere to JCI safety standards in the field and shop Coach and develop leaders (Project/System Team Leads, Engineers) to scale performance and consistency across trades What we offer Competitive pay with comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)) available Day 1 Paid time off, holidays, and sick time Extensive product and on‑the‑job/cross‑training opportunities Encouraging, collaborative team environment with access to enterprise learning resources Dedication to safety through our Zero Harm policy Tools, technology, and support to help you build your best future What we look for (Required) Significant experience leading installation/project delivery in HVAC, mechanical, or building controls, including multi‑trade crews and subcontractors Proven financial acumen managing forecasts, billings/collections, cost control, and margin outcomes Strong working knowledge of building codes, safety practices, and commissioning/turnover processes Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and performance‑manage technical teams Excellent customer‑facing communication and relationship‑building skills Preferred Background with estimating/engineering standards and major project delivery Industry certifications (e.g., OSHA safety training, NICET, PMP or similar) Who we are At Johnson Controls, our brand promise is powered by connected solutions and digital innovation leadership—advancing smart, safe, healthy, and sustainable buildings for our customers and communities. HIRING SALARY RANGE: $100k-145k (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Requirements

  • Significant experience leading installation/project delivery in HVAC, mechanical, or building controls, including multi‑trade crews and subcontractors
