About The Position

Maintain district wide HVAC equipment in order to provide a quality building environment for students, staff and community.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
• Possess a valid Texas Operator’s License
• Possess knowledge and skill required to operate and maintain equipment associated with HVAC
• Have such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find acceptable and appropriate
• Must possess minimum EPA certification I and II (Universal certification preferred)
• Physically able to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to comprehend verbal and written English

Nice To Haves

• Texas State Contractors License Type B (Preferred) or ability to obtain Texas State Contractors License Type B
• Universal certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance as requested on approved work order.
• Practice all safety regulations related to trade.
• Recommend supplies and equipment for purchases.
• Report any safety hazards in a building.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies.
• Examine district-owned facilities on a regular basis for preventive maintenance.
• Respond to emergency repairs immediately and report problems to HVAC Supervisor.
• Required to work night.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
