About The Position

The HVAC Air Duct Maintenance Helper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining air ducts, vents, and HVAC systems to enhance air quality and system efficiency. This role requires both independent work and collaboration with a team to ensure optimal performance of heating and cooling units in residential and commercial settings.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in HVAC maintenance, air duct cleaning, or a similar field is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and basic maintenance practices is a plus.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality service.
  • Good physical stamina, able to lift heavy equipment and work in tight or confined spaces.

Nice To Haves

  • EPA certification for HVAC systems or related HVAC training is a plus.
  • OSHA safety training or equivalent safety certifications.
  • NADCA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize air ducts, vents, registers, and other HVAC components.
  • Remove dust, debris, mold, and allergens from ductwork using industry-approved equipment.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of HVAC systems and ductwork to identify potential issues such as leaks, blockages, or damage.
  • Perform minor repairs or recommend further action if necessary.
  • Safely operate cleaning equipment, including vacuums, air compressors, brushes, and other specialized tools.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with clients, explaining the services provided and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Record details of each job, including work performed, equipment used, and any issues discovered during the cleaning process.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with cleaning chemicals, tools, and HVAC systems.
