About The Position

The Hunting Lead at Sportsman's Warehouse plays a crucial role in assisting the Hunting Department Manager with daily operations and supervising department staff. This position focuses on providing exceptional customer service, maintaining merchandise, and ensuring compliance with firearm regulations.

Requirements

• Knowledge of firearms and ATF compliance is required
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well with customers, co-workers, and management
• Ability to create a positive customer experience
• Good attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
• Basic computer skills are required
• Ability to mount scopes and correctly sight via precise procedures and specifications
• Flexibility in schedule is required
• Basic cash handling procedures knowledge

Responsibilities

• Outfit customers based on their hunting needs by providing exceptional customer service
• Merchandise and maintain the hunting department
• Assist in gun room operations and procedures
• Communicate any firearm or ammunition related matters to the compliance department
• Conduct required firearm inventory cycle counts
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hunting department
• Open and close the store and perform morning and evening cash office procedures
• Respond to any ATF or compliance department requests in a timely manner
• Assist in scope mounting and firearm maintenance services
• Responsible for organization, correct pricing and quantities of all ammunition, guns, cleaning accessories and any other affiliated merchandise
• Perform all other duties assigned
