About The Position

MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OREGON'S NATURAL RESOURCES! As a Hunt by Reservation Coordinator (Program Analyst 1) in Salem, Oregon, you will plan and manage a statewide hunting access program that utilizes an online reservation system to pair landowners with hunters. Duties include: Coordinate and communicate with prospective and enrolled landowners, including individuals, corporations, non-government organizations, and other public agencies. Create hunt plans to meet landowner goals, while emphasizing safety and quality experiences. Host occasional volunteer workdays. Respond to complaints and develop appropriate solutions. Program and manage reservation software (HTML, Drupal) on ODFW website, manage program lottery opportunity draws in ODFW's Electronic License System staff, utilize spreadsheets (Excel) to manage program data, and create maps for properties enrolled in the program. Coordinate with ODFW Electronic License System and web development staff and contractors Communicate with participating and interested hunters, including responding to questions and complaints regarding the Hunt by Reservation program, hunt experience. Conduct surveys of participating hunters, analyze results, adapt program accordingly. Cooperate and coordinate with ODFW District and Access and Habitat staff on existing and potential Hunt By Reservation opportunities. Provide public relations and communications specific to the program to improve visibility to public and landowners, including websites, podcast, interviews, news articles, presentations to civic groups, etc. Write grants and explore additional funding sources to grow program. Monitor program budget Provide semi-annual summary reports to Division leadership and Game Program coordinators as appropriate Develop program standards and rules The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications Option 1: A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills -OR- Option 2: Any combination of experience or education equivalent to three years technical-level experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.
