About The Position

The Humanities Coordinator is responsible for supporting district and campus curriculum design and management, focusing on language arts and social studies. This role involves aligning the written, taught, and tested curriculum, overseeing instructional programs, assessments, staff development, and continuous improvement initiatives. The coordinator will work collaboratively with educators and administrators to enhance teaching effectiveness and student achievement.

Requirements

• Master's degree with emphasis in curriculum and instruction (preferred).
• Principal certification (preferred).
• Valid Texas teaching certificate in assigned subject area.
• Three to five years of teaching experience in assigned subject area.
• Demonstrated teaching and leadership competency in the assigned subject area.

Nice To Haves

• Instructional leadership experience (preferred).
• Certified in the State Appraisal System (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide support in district and campus curriculum design and management.
• Align the written, taught, and tested curriculum in assigned content areas.
• Oversee instructional programs and assessments.
• Facilitate staff development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in school/district and community activities and meetings.
• Develop, implement, and monitor action plans for annual job targets.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and the community regarding curriculum and instructional programs.
• Coordinate the review and development of curriculum documents and materials.
• Evaluate curriculum and instructional program effectiveness based on data analysis.
• Plan and provide staff development for teachers and staff.
