Human Services Program Consultant III (IDD Policy Consultant) (Temporary)

This temporary position is located in 1915 Health Services Way- Wake County with the Department of Health and Human Services. Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $40.89 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). Management Preferences: This role will support I/DD, TBI, and Olmstead section initiatives such as Inclusion Connects and Inclusion Works. The IDD Consultant will focus on housing, employment, and community living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role is critical in advancing inclusive housing solutions and supporting policy development that aligns with best practices and legal standards. This person will serve as a subject matter expert on housing options and community living, including those specific and nonspecific to individuals with IDD. Key responsibilities include collaborating with internal and external partners on barriers to community living and employment, promoting integrated and community-based solutions, and analyzing and interpreting regulations, polices, and funding mechanisms for individuals with IDD.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a discipline relative to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of related experience; or Bachelor’s degree in a discipline relative to the program area from an appropriately accredited institution and six years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
