About The Position

The County of Sonoma Human Services Department is looking for energetic individuals currently enrolled in a workforce development program to assist their Employment and Training Job Link Program. As a Job Link Intern, you will perform a variety of administrative and clerical activities, such as creating, updating, and closing client case files (physical and/or electronic); creating and managing appointment spreadsheets; managing Job Link emails and interpretation requests; processing invoices and reimbursements; contacting clients quarterly for data collection purposes; entering data in program databases; answering phones and providing exceptional customer service; assisting Job Link staff with projects and client orientations; scheduling/attending meetings and taking notes; and performing other duties as assigned. As a Job Link Work Experience Intern, you will participate in structured on-the-job training assignments in the Employment and Training Division of the Human Services Department and will learn a wide variety of tasks, including an overview of the function and services of the Job Link program, Microsoft Office Suite programs, data collection, and data entry, customer service, time management, and organization skills, verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, leadership, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment as a participant in a formal workforce development program
  • Possession of a valid driver's license at the appropriate level including necessary endorsements as required by the State of California may be required depending upon assignment
