About The Position

The Human Services Aide II assists professional staff in delivering services to clients across Adult Protective Services/Guardianship, Employment Services, and Childcare programs. Consistent with the role of a Human Services Assistant, this position provides supportive services that help individuals reach their maximum level of functioning, assists with emergency intake, and monitors, documents, and reports client progress to supervisors and case managers. The position plays a critical role in ensuring continuity of care, accurate case documentation, and timely client support across multiple human services programs.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of human services principles and client support practices.
  • Ability to observe, document, and communicate client information clearly and accurately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks across programs in a semi- fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with case management systems preferred.
  • Minimum High School Diploma

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct assistance to social workers, case managers, and program staff by performing supportive, paraprofessional duties that enhance service delivery across Adult Services, Employment Services, and Childcare programs.
  • Deliver practical, supportive services that help individuals and families improve safety, independence, employability, and overall functioning, in alignment with individualized service plans.
  • Monitor client activity, maintain case records, and document observations, services provided, and client progress in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support emergency intake processes by gathering information, assisting clients during initial contacts, and ensuring timely referrals and follow-up under professional supervision.
  • Provide direct supportive services to individuals and families under professional supervision.
  • Monitor client participation and progress, reporting observations to supervisors and case managers.
  • Maintain case files, logs, and electronic records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist with referrals, scheduling, transportation coordination, and other support activities.
  • Interact with clients in a professional, respectful, and culturally responsive manner.
  • Comply with confidentiality, safety, and ethical standards at all times.
