Please see below for more details on the position and apply if you are interested! The Human Resources Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily HR operations. In addition, the position is responsible for ensuring organizational compliance with employment laws, designing and delivering employee training programs, managing full-cycle recruiting, and overseeing employee relations. The position supervises a Human Resources Generalist while also supporting strategic HR initiatives.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of HR experience in compliance, training, recruiting, and employee relations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources or related field preferred
  • Professional certification in human resources preferred
  • Ability to lead and supervise a team.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and required government reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex regulations clearly
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop training programs; ability to facilitate training sessions
  • Knowledge of interview types (i.e., situational, behavioral, etc.) and ability to create questions based on type that effectively screen candidates
  • Ability to create recruitment strategies and candidate pipelines
  • Demonstrated time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Responsibilities

  • Leads, mentors, and manages HR staff.
  • Delegates tasks, monitors workloads, and ensures team meets and supports a compliant, skilled, and engaged workforce.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances.
  • Conducts investigations into workplace complaints and recommends appropriate resolutions, with support of HR staff.
  • Promotes and reinforces company culture.
  • Monitors and interprets federal, state, and local employment regulations (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, OSHA, OFCCP).
  • Maintains and updates HR policies and employee handbook.
  • Conducts regular HR audits (handbooks, job descriptions, I-9 forms, wage/hour practices) to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Prepares and submits mandatory government reporting (e.g., EE0-1).
  • Partners with outside resource to complete affirmative action plan.
  • Investigates compliance-related complaints and partners with outside resource(s) (e.g., legal counsel, HR consultant) when needed.
  • Assesses training needs through performance reviews, leadership input, survey’s, etc.
  • Designs, schedules, and facilitates training sessions (e.g., new hire orientation, company initiatives, etc.)
  • Manages the learning management system (LMS); tracks completion rates and produces reports.
  • Coordinates external training vendors and maintains training budget.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of training programs; reports findings to leadership.
  • Partners with hiring managers to create and/or update job descriptions and to define selection criteria.
  • Executes full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference/background checks, and offer negotiation.
  • Builds diverse candidate pipelines via job boards, campus events, employee referrals, social media, etc.
  • Coordinates onboarding logistics and conducts new hire orientation sessions.
  • Facilitates annual performance reviews, goal setting, and career development.
  • Assists with other HR department responsibilities as needed (e.g., benefits administration, payroll, etc.).
  • Performs other tasks as required.
