About The Position

The Human Resources Staffing Specialist I supports program offices and departmental leadership in the coordination, processing, and tracking of personnel actions across the employee lifecycle. This role performs personnel action reporting (PAR) and related processing activities to ensure accurate workforce management, compliance with established policies, and timely support of hiring, onboarding, training, and staffing initiatives. Requirements

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience processing personnel actions, including personnel action coding and documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing Personnel Action Reports (PARs) or equivalent workforce documentation.
  • Experience documenting processes and procedures to support operational consistency.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-service-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in standard office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional coursework or certification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, process, and track Personnel Action Reports (PARs) for a variety of workforce actions, including hiring, onboarding, position changes, compensation updates, and other employee lifecycle events.
  • Support talent acquisition activities by coordinating hiring documentation, reviewing personnel action coding, and maintaining staffing records.
  • Assist in onboarding efforts, including documentation processing, orientation coordination, and workforce tracking.
  • Maintain personnel action logs, databases, and tracking systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Document and update standard operating procedures related to staffing and personnel action processes.
  • Provide administrative and technical support for workforce presentations, training sessions, and related program activities.
  • Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding personnel action status and documentation requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant execution of staffing-related processes.
  • Assist with workforce reporting and data validation efforts as required.
  • Support special staffing initiatives and related administrative projects.
