About The Position

The Human Resources Specialist at rms Company is responsible for supporting employees across all shifts, executing talent acquisition strategies, onboarding and offboarding processes, communicating benefits and wellness programs, and ensuring compliance with HR policies. This role also involves providing intermediate employee relations support and promoting a positive workplace culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of related experience in Human Resources.
  • HR Certification preferred (through SHRM and/or HRCI).
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, medical device manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to consistently achieve business results.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks when needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical and system thinking ability.
  • Ability to convey information effectively and professionally to others.

  • Experience in medical device manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding activities with the hiring manager and conduct new hire orientation.
  • Perform employee check-ins at 30-60-90-day intervals.
  • Coordinate employee work-life balance activities.
  • Engage employees in workplace committees and ensure paperwork is completed and employee files are maintained.
  • Keep the HRIS system updated by sending new hire, change, and termination information to the payroll processor.
  • Answer benefits questions and assist employees with online enrollment.
  • Update employee boards, electronic billboards, and email company and HR program and policy updates.
  • Provide day-to-day coaching to employees and leaders on employee relations issues and policy interpretation.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Recruit for top talent by executing the recruiting strategy and partnering with management on key roles.
  • Conduct phone screens and schedule interviews.
  • Create and post job advertisements through various platforms.
  • Participate in job fairs and college recruitment programs.
  • Communicate recruiting metrics and maintain headcount and turnover reports.
  • Support the unemployment process as needed, including responding to claims and attending appeals hearings.
  • Promote cultural change and support continuous improvement within HR to enhance service delivery and employee experience.
  • Coordinate recognition programs.
