Requirements

  • Three (3) years of work experience in an office setting in higher education.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment of qualified prospective employees
  • Gather and collect data from various resources for reports; run reports as needed
  • Prepare and submit required forms and reports related to the employment of college personnel
  • Assist search committees in administering the search process
  • Maintain liaison with department heads on personnel related matters
  • Assist in the development, and maintenance of job descriptions for all college employees
  • Work with the HR Coordinator in completing Onboarding processes
  • Conduct background checks
  • Clarify and interpret policies and procedures affecting college employees
  • Maintain all personnel files
  • Complete contracts for instructional and non-instructional employees
  • Ensure employment processes and forms are in compliance with state and federal requirements
  • Maintain sick leave bank records
  • Verify employment information to requesting agencies
  • Assist with maintaining audit files
  • Assist with orientation of new employees
  • Write employee and professional service contracts
  • Update personnel section of Faculty/Staff Handbook
  • Participate in professional developments as appropriate
  • Prepare reports and correspondence as requested
  • Update Campus Directory
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Prepare annual Letters of Appointment verifying salary and benefits for all staff
  • Work well with others and show respect to all college constituents
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Coordinator, Executive Assistant to the President and the President.
