The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of conventional duties relating to a variety of human relations program areas and to complete developmental assignments and training outlined in the formal training and development program. This role involves performing a variety of highly structured, entry-level human resources work designed to develop broader and more in-depth knowledge and skill to perform higher level assignments. The position requires observing and assisting an experienced employee by performing routine tasks, such as reviewing basic qualifications requirements, analyzing position data, preparing job descriptions, and applying procedures pertaining to employee relations.

  • Perform a variety of highly structured, entry-level human resources work.
  • Complete developmental assignments and training as outlined in the formal training and development program.
  • Assist experienced employees by performing routine tasks related to human resources.
  • Review basic qualifications requirements and analyze position data.
  • Prepare job descriptions and apply procedures pertaining to employee relations.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Males must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Completion of 1 full year of graduate level education, or bachelor's degree with Superior academic Achievement, or 5 academic years of pre-professional study, or 1 year specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-5.
  • Specialized experience in human resources support, including using HR information systems and delivering HR services to military personnel.
  • Knowledge of basic principles and practices of human resources.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to gather facts and use effective analytical methods to assess information and formulate solutions to problems.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Student Loan Repayment may be authorized.
