The HR Specialist provides general support to the Human Resources Department. Relieves the director and managers of administrative duties such as reception, employee events, job fairs, copying.
Assist other members of the Human Resources Department with assigned projects and various events.
Provide guidance and assistance to applicants, Team Members, and leadership, as needed.
Assist HR personnel with various functions within the applicant tracking system, i.e. screening/sourcing applicants, checking for completed New Hire Paperwork, process term transactions, send out contact letters, updated badging information in the HR database, etc.
Responsible for assisting Hard Rock TMs with all areas of Human Resources (ER/LR, Payroll, Benefits, Gaming) after normal business hours.
Complete weekly term report audits.
Assist the ER/LR Team with planning and executing TM Events.
Responsible for the Three-Year Renewal process (contact TM, meet with TM to go over forms, notarizes forms, schedule appt with IGC, send paperwork to IGC prior to appt., etc).
Administer the Exit Interview and Stay Interview processes, analyze data and generate reports to operators.
Own the coordination of the Work Opportunity Tax Credit function.
Assist with Unemployment claims and processing as needed.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all data and information.
Provide timely and courteous internal guest service to Team Members of all levels.
Assist with other new hire related functions during peak hiring season.
Perform work regularly and adhere to all Indiana Gaming Regulations.
High School Diploma or higher and 1 or more years of work experience in Human Resources or other professional environment.
Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
Must successfully pass background check.
Must successfully pass drug screening.
Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
Excellent telephone etiquette is also required.
Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.
Knowledge of office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and databases to include excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
