Under the direction of the Chief Respect Officer, the Human Resources Specialist (HRS) works within HR's Respect Office to lead or provide support on investigations into employee relations matters, including harassment, discrimination, and other sensitive workplace issues as assigned. The HRS furthers the Hospital's dedication to a respectful workplace by educating leaders and employees on principles and standards related to the Respect Credo and Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging initiatives. The HRS provides strategic and operational human resources-based advice; promotes the Hospital's standards for respect through development and delivery of training and education programs. The HRS supports data and information collection, and develops reviews, presentations and strategic plans based on data analysis; further, the HRS ensures teams and departments develop recommended interventions to address employee relations issues that emerge. This is a full time position working on-site 4 days and the ability for 1 day remote. The primary location will be our Corporate Office in mid-town Manhattan, with the ability to travel to multiple locations enterprise wide.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5 years of Human Resources, Legal or Compliance, or other related field.
  • Familiarity with federal, state and local protected class designations and law/guidance pertaining to Equal Employment Opportunity.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree or other Advanced Degree.
  • Experience managing complex organizational dynamics.
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations.
