Requirements

  • 1–3 years HR or administrative support experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field + 5 years specialized HR experience.
  • Equivalency: Associate's Degree + 7 years specialized HR experience; OR 9 years specialized HR experience.

Responsibilities

  • Human Resources Specialist III | Professional Administrative & Management Support Services (PAMSS) [DOEID0012011] General Description: Provides advanced-level Human Resources management and technical support.
  • Acts as an expert in resolving complex HR issues pertaining to Federal benefits (FERS, CSRS, TSP, FEGLI, FEHB, FERCCA), retirement counseling, RIF/severance pay, and federal workers' compensation (FECA/OWCP).
  • Conducts seminars, advises senior management, and interprets OPM guidelines to ensure compliance.
  • May involve assisting with the new hire onboarding and separation processes for complex cases.
